βAt the top, the trail begins with walking over calm waters. I took note of how interesting it was that the area so close to the violent falls could be so tranquil. Approaching the falls from a distance, I had an interesting perspective of the calm waters above the falls which seemed to open up into a this giant whole in the earth. Then I got to the end of the bridge, right on top of Garganta Del Diablo. βHoly shitβ. Itβs another one of those moments. I get it now. This is why the Argentina side is βbetterβ. [...] How do I even put this into words? There is no proper description. And my photoβs β though beautiful do absolutely no justice to the experience of being there.β
βAt this point we were instructed to put away our cameras and close up our waterproof bags. Next thing I know, we are headed full speed ahead into one corner of the falls. Drenched. Then he backed up and did it again. I couldnβt help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Suddenly, for no reason at all, I found myself overwhelmingly sad. I know there were tears in my eyes, and oddly I found myself laughing and crying at the same time.β
βThank God some of the other Argentinian couples I met at our hotel advised me that it was worth the cost, ecause SO MUCH FUN! OMG. Pro tip: wear a swimsuit or other clothes that quick dry, or at least bring a change of clothes with you, because you will be SOAKED. Forget about wearing a raincoat or poncho, because the boats literally drive into and under the massive falls, so you will be drenched. Enjoy it! This boat ride was by far my favorite part of my visit to the falls, on either side.β
