βWhen I was driving, I was fully present in the moment. My mind wasnβt on deadlines or bills, it wasnβt overthinking about whether or not someone liked me. All I had to do was drive someone from point A to point B, maybe pick up someone on the way or make an extra stop. I followed directions, paid attention to the traffic and cars around me, depending on the passenger we would talk or sit in silence and sometimes there was music.β
βAm I the only one who gets nervous when driving other people in your car? I guess im not used to it and go places dolo and drive how I want... But today i went to see that movie lucy and i drove home with my sister and brother and law and i took a way home that i dont normally do so i was confused on where to go... i used my gps but still i felt hesitiant the whole time driving... i dont know if because there was no conversation going so it felt quiet or what... i guess i just feel overly cautious when i drive people around and feel responsible for them... i usually drive slow regardless but its like i felt like a rookie tonight drivingβ
βI actually freaking LOVE driving people around. for context Iβve only been at it for a few months. never had anyone puke or get belligerent or shit themselves or anything like that yet. I really just am honestly in awe at how much I enjoy the people I drive around. the quiet ones, the chatty ones, the regulars, the disabled ones, the sad ones (Iβve been able to cheer up), the newly engaged ones, the late for work ones, the tipsy ones (Iβm saving their life), etc, etc. itβs just the coolest fuckin job to be able to help people.β
