Even longtime residents discover hidden stories and architectural details they've never noticed when following a knowledgeable guide. โ€œAnd now, we are back at the starting point. Filled up with all the impressions and insights that Alice has sprinkled on us, but also by the good weather, and the bike ride of course. Seeing my own city from a completely new perspective has been a great experience, and I sense that my fellow participants, who are completely new in terms of getting to know the city, also got everything they wanted. [...] It was a plus that Tony and Sunanda were on the trip. Seeing everything through their eyes made us look at the city in a new, refreshing way.โ€

โ€œAfter living here for four or five years, I took one of those double decker bus tours. I liked it because you can hop on and off at your leisure. I had previously taken one in Chicago and learned that a good guide makes a huge difference. If you don't find your guide engaging, jump off and wait for another bus. Repeat until you find a good one. The best thing about doing it in a city with which you are familiar is you can jump off, take the subway back a stop or two and take that part of the route again easily.โ€
