βWe thought simpler would be better. We packed Eagle Creek packing cubes (color coded for each person) in Adventure Wagonβs soft overhead storage compartments to create a little organization. But in the end, we had to embrace the chaos that quickly ensued and learn to focus on the moments outside together. [...] While my husband and I were interested in stopping for gushing waterfalls, our daughter had an eagle eye for playgrounds; we learned to forgo the waterfalls (the sound bothered her ears) and stop frequently for the playgrounds. We took the time to sit in the sand and play with her β even when it was in the middle of urban sprawl en route to somewhere (we thought) more beautiful.β
βAfter camping for the previous 6 days in the van, we booked a hotel room in the town of Morro Bay to take a break, a shower, and also be able to spread out as we celebrated Thanksgiving. We booked this hotel, prior to our trip, assuming we were going to need a break, but in reality, besides an amazing shower, life in the van was going fantastic. Albeit, I was struggling due to lack of sleep and getting up at 5am for work, it was catching up to me.β
βJanuary 2022 - Omicron is rising. My travel companies are suffering just like in 2020. Zero customers, zero income, but monthly expenses are still here. In brief, I felt very bad. Then I though: wait, I have my own ultimate overlanding vehicle. Why not to escape this tension for few hours and deal with problems with a fresh mind? This is how I ended up on the way to Racha, to the north of Kutaisi. Once I saw the first snow layer on the road my mood immediately changed and felt much better. Kilometer by kilometer I was getting positive trip vibes.β
