Learn the five S's of wine tasting (see, swirl, sniff, sip, savor) at local wineries or wine shops that offer guided tastings. You'll discover how to identify notes like 'earthy' or 'fruity' that seemed pretentious before, and find your personal preferences across different regions and grape varieties. Many events include food pairings that enhance both flavors.

βI had to break out of my βred wine onlyβ rule and give these babies a try. While they were certainly sweeter than Iβd usually opt for, even without added sugar, I was blown away by the taste and aromas. There is no way you could miss that they are made with honey (and cherries). This was certainly the most unique wine I tasted over the entire weekend, and Iβm itching to get my hands on some.β
βHaving only tried one organic wine before, I had been put off by how unappetizing it was to me, and since avoided organic wines. I realize now how silly I was, since there are many organic wines I tasted at the wine tasting event and the wine tour, which were delicious. I had obviously just picked up a bad wine that first time, and will be giving organic wines far more attention now.β
