β€œ98% of my photography is centered around my family. I have 4 year old twins and a 2 year old. I have recently started making photo albums of our family. Gone back as far as the year my sons were born. My albums are a mixture of snapshots with my phone and more intentional photos with my mirrorless camera. How i group mine is a mixture of chronologically and theme. For instance I was just culling through Feb 2024 and trying to figure out what photos i wanted to print and what photos were okay just to be digitally shown on oir digital frame. So for feb, I have 6 shots at the park (almost all different trips throughout the month), 8 from a single bike ride, 4 from a "snack dinner" (aka we got home too late to cook so we had string cheese, mickey mouse sausages,) pretzels, cucumbers, and applesauce for dinner) , 4 of the kids randomly playing together in our living room(all different times), 3 from a walk to the library. Now i only started making photo albums last year. I did it as a gift to the grandparents and honestly it changed the way i thought about my photos. [...] I am not just printing the big events, like birthdays, holidays, or trips. In fact, most of my favorite photos are in the quiet daily moments.”

β€œWhile I include all my favorite picture perfect pictures, I also make sure to include pictures that show our house in the background and that capture the fun little moments that I know will possibly be forgotten. I also make sure to include all of us in the pics, including pets! I have a baby book for my son, so that’s all about him, but this is a family yearbook, so we should all be featured.”
