โThere were moments when I wondered whether Iโd really be able to squeeze through a certain gap or pull myself up a sheer edge and then when I did it, the buzz of joy I got was incredible. This is definitely an experience that is worth getting dirty for - by the end I was damp with sweat and my legs and hands were smeared in mud but the physical exertion was exhilarating.โ
โI am not sure how long you think it should take for 2-3 million bats to fly out of a cave, but I was nervous when they first started flying out that I would miss filming it on my phone. It turns out, I did not need to be worried. The bats continually flew out for 20 minutes.โ
