Solo circumnavigation is one of sailing's ultimate challenges, taking 6-12 months of complete self-reliance on the open ocean. You'll face massive storms, equipment failures, and profound isolation while navigating some of the world's most dangerous waters. Only a few hundred people have ever completed this feat, requiring expert sailing skills and mental resilience.

βThings werenβt always easy. Crossing the North Atlantic, there were periods of no wind but also big swells β waves coming from a distance β so I was rolling back and forth, my sails tearing apart. I also had to dodge reefs and ships. The longest I slept at sea was 50 minutes at a time. Your body adjusts.β
βIn the end, it proved to be a ton of work to make it through under sail alone, as I was constantly changing sails in response to the squalls rolling over us, day and night, always wary of getting caught with way too much canvas up.β
