โ€œI have a photo of a little girl. She isn't very happy, but it's probably from having to sit still. It was taken around 1875. She was sitting on her mother's lap, but the mother was under a blanket. That was a common way to keep a little one still for a photo. Why is she important? She was dead of scarlet fever a year later at just 6 years old. Someone needs to remember her. I posted her photo to the family group and the group did not disappoint. Now several hundred extended family members know her story.โ€

โ€œThe last time I saw my bf, we visited his mother for a bit, and she showed us some family photo albums. So he was telling me the stories behind the photos, such as family vacations, or different relatives that he was close with, etc. I mentioned that it might be fun to show him some of my old photos next time. Thanks to COVID-19, we might not see each other in person for a while. So I got one of my photo albums, and used my phone to photograph some of them and make an online album. (So it's a photo of a photo - not perfect, but better than nothing.) When we talked on the phone today, I sent him the link and we looked through them together. So I was able to tell him some of my stories as we clicked through.โ€
