โ€œWe are here traveling for two weeks for our honeymoon and knew we wanted to stay at a traditional Ryokan but I was SO overwhelmed with the amazing options. We picked Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, the oldest inn in the world!! It took us a good 5 hours to get there from Kyoto, but don't let that scare you off! It was INCREDIBLE!!! We arrived at the local train station just in time for the shuttle to the hotel which is truly in the middle of nowhere. The experience was absolutely perfect!!! We got a suite room with a private bath [...] Other than during check in we didn't see any other guests during our stay! Our dinner and breakfast were in a private room and it was so lovely! I am a vegetarian and gluten free and I was a bit nervous about eating but they made a special meal for me and everything was not only delicious but SO beautiful and really captured the change of seasons in the colors and variety of food.โ€
