โ11. Went to Honduras to help on a mission to build a school. I remember they wanted to hand mix all the cement and the sifting/process took forever. I remember the kids would torpedo climb the trees and hack down fruit with a machete and offer it to us. I had a Polaroid instant camera and it was a huge hit. On the last day, we got to go to Roatan, which is a little island known for crystal clear waters. We were snorkeling and I was struggling with my goggles. My step father tried to pick me up in the water and put me on coral to help. It was vertical and he basically rubbed my leg against it. I started bleeding everywhere and cried the whole way swimming pack to shore while I guide pointed out fish swimming around me. Iโm now 33 and still have a long scar on my leg.โ
