People who tried this
“They had the stars and press positioned in a circle out front. We found a good spot to see the celebrities as they exited the carpet and headed into the theater. Many stopped for a picture against the backdrop and were easy to approach and chat for a few minutes. I loved the colors and the music and the whole vibe of this red carpet. My previous experiences were rather rushed with security constantly telling us to move along. But this one was totally different and we were allowed to kind hang in our area and wait for the stars to come by.”
“We arrived at our designated time, picked up the tickets at Will Call, and started freaking out just a little bit. [...] We found ourselves navigating the Los Angeles Convention Center- and boy is it HUGE. The movie was scheduled to start at 6 PM and we were asked to be there by 5 PM. We didn’t enter through the front doors like the stars, which I thought was going to be disappointing. [...] But other than that, I have zero complaints on this night. Okay: my feet HURT but that’s because I went for shoes I had no business wearing for more than 3 hours.”
“When it's movie time, we collect our tickets and prepare to walk the carpet. Now, we don't get to strut down the main red carpet (which in this case usually encompasses the entire street section in front of the El Capitan theater) with the talent and film makers. Not yet anyway. We walk directly next to the large red carpet so that the talent is free to complete interviews with shows like Access Hollywood, ET and more. [...] After the party, we headed into the theater to watch Moana. This is such a unique experience, because in many cases you're watching alongside the people who've worked tirelessly on the film for the past 4 years. They're seeing it in it's entirety for the first time, right next to you.”
