Pick a genre you actively avoid - if you love action movies, try a slow-burn drama or documentary. The goal is expanding your taste palette, so approach it with genuine curiosity rather than expecting to love it - you might discover unexpected gems or at least gain appreciation for different storytelling styles.

β€œas of yesterday, this is probably by far the most famous film in the film community that i have not watched yet; today, i finally watched it! honestly, i put this film off for a long time due to its runtime and its genre; it was three hours long, and i don't usually watch westerns i must say though... the three hours flew by; and of course this should be no surprise, given that it's literally one of the highest-rated films of all time; if it was "boring" or only for a niche audience, it wouldn't receive nearly as much universal acclaim; even as a genre i don't particularly love, this film had so much entertainment value to offer, and the characters all bounced off each other incredibly well”

β€œI mostly like animation( most live action movies coming out for the past couple of years have never peaked my interest except for Barbie). But I was bored one night and watched amber alert(2012). This movie is part of the found footage genre and whole shit it's bad..... like the story could have been interesting if they didn't spoil it in the first minute of the movie and that two of the three people that we deal with are annoying pricks. And the good one doesn't even talk that much because he's the CAMERA GUY.”
