“Well I am back from my trip - 4/26 to 4/30 Caesars Palace Las Vegas [...] Saturday evening: Palace Court raised its minimum to $200 and, not wanting to trek down the strip again, and as I was ahead, I decided to buy in for $4k - well, this shoe was not as kind to me as my other shoes had been - down I went into the rabbit hole - at one point, I lost 12 hands in a row (however, this really got the SPEED COUNT in my favor) - so, with the count very much in my favor I put up 2 hands at $500 each - and then this happened: Hand 1: 3,3 Hand 2: 2,3 Dealer: 5,X Hand 1: split 3's - get another 3 - now have there 3's (hit 1st one get a K, hit 2nd one get a K, hit 3rd one get a Q) Hand 2: 2,3 hit for a 5, hit again for a 10 (total 20) Dealer: 5, overturns a 9 for 14 - dealer hits an Ace (15), dealer hits an Ace (16) - really really - is this going to happen with $2k on the table???) dealer hits for an 8 BUST!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! I'm back baby!!! the count stayed with me for a few more hands and I won another +2,200 I was now +$5,500 for the trip with one day to play [...] In the grand scheme of things, my $5,500 is small change BUT, it's a win with SPEED COUNT and makes my third straight trip to a casino (AC and LV) a positive trip”

“Just got back from a 3 day trip to vegas. Normally if I'm at a casino, I just go place a black/red bet on roulette and stop whether I win or lose. This time, I decided to learn basic strategy and try blackjack. Of four games I played, I won all four. I usually cashed out once I doubled or tripled my buy in. >50% of the games, I should be losing right - similar to roulette? I know 4 games is not a sufficient sample, but there were also 3-4 other people at each table I was playing and everyone was net positive in the 10-15 mins I played, except for a couple throwing away money on side bets. On the way home, I downloaded this blackjack app and started playing: I have certainly hit 5-6 hand losing streaks that could have wiped me out if they come early, but I've played probably 300 hands at this point and have gone from 5k to 75k, consistently gaining each time I log on. I know how odds work, there's no reason for me to be up like this given how Blackjack works. I'm not sure what I'm asking for, but how long exactly can a hot streak last? That said, Vegas got my money back. We just spent the earnings on shows and food.”
