βWe did play two games, but they didnβt involve toilet paper or unspeakable words (but I am really good at that game). The first was mad libs; you know the one where one person asks for a noun, verb or adjective without giving the other person any context and then you get a super interesting, and mostly humorous, story at the end? The other game was a form of how well do you know the bride. My best friend had asked Jamie twenty questions about me before the shower and the guests at the shower were given a sheet of paper to answer those same questions. Then, I had to get up and answer them too. The twist: if I didnβt answer the same way Jamie did, I had to stick a piece of bubblegum in my mouth! Well, letβs just say I could barely talk by the end of it!β
βThere was no present opening. So for those of you that enjoy watching someone open presents, Iβm sorry I didnβt do it. But for me, not only did it give me anxiety to think about having to do that in front of 60 people (yea it was a big shower), but it also did not sound like fun to sit through...especially with that many people! So we just hung out and drank, talked and laughed and drank. That punch was definitely the hit of the night.β
βI did feel awkward when I was opening gifts because I have always felt awkward opening gifts in front of people...always afraid I wouldn't show the right enthusiasm and also because I had 3 Lindas and 3 Jessicas attending and no one put their last name on the card so when I went to say thank you to the person who gave it to me I wasn't sure which to look at.β
