Attend a pride parade

“We then got our tickets checked and entered the marshalling area where we waited for 3 hours until night time to enter the parade in the stadium at the appointed time along with the other groups. It was a rainless cloudy sky with plenty of sun. [...] The moment has arrived, all of the parade groups line up in order to enter the stadium in a single file. I was giddy with excitement and waving the flag ecstatically and so was the rest of my group. It was a long wait in line until we reached the entrance leading out onto the field. With bated breath we waited for the signal to enter the parade in earnest. We were met with an explosion of cheers, colours and celebration. 40,000 spectators were waving and cheering jubilantly from the stands.”

“People from all ages from all walks of life came tonight to commemorate limitless love. We waved back at the crowds and lifted our props to the sky, me waving my own flag energetically. There was a musical performance near the centre of the field and pillars of flame spurting out from columns from the ground. We marched around the stadium once and went through the middle of the field where the cameras were on us, broadcasting it all over the country live. We put on our best performance, showing our true colours. and then proceeded out of the stadium from the other end. We had marched for almost an hour, covered in heat, sweat and glitter and grinning from ear-to-ear.”
