Create expressive artwork using only your fingers and paint, embracing the tactile, messy freedom of direct touch with your medium. This primal approach often produces more spontaneous, emotional results than brush painting, connecting you directly to your creativity without technical barriers.

βOn Saturday the 11th of May, I went to The Capital Gallery in Eltham where I have a selection of my paintings on show, in order to do some LIVE fingerpainting. Iβve not ever painted like this befor, so it was a whole new experience and rather strange. I do paint in front of my children and Husband but theyβre usually not standing and watching what Iβm doing! I went in thinking Iβll probably only get the sky done on my beachscape but I got so engrossed and enjoyed all the visitors and atmosphere that I finished the main scene. [...] As I started it, my fingers danced over the canvas and did a different look completely!β
βWhen I first started finger painting over 7 years ago, two thoughts crossed my mind simultaneously: 1. This is the most fun Iβve had in a long time! 2. I hope no one thinks this is childish. I feel kind of silly! [...] Fingerpainting also guides me to staying in a place of presence, embracing the process and not focusing on what I can and canβt do.β
