Experience the iconic gull-wing doors and time machine aesthetic of the DMC-12, made famous by Back to the Future. While production ended in 1982, you can rent restored DeLoreans through specialty car rental companies or attend DeLorean club events for test drives. The stainless steel body and unique driving position make it a surreal step back into 1980s automotive ambition.

In my estimation, you'd have to drive a Delorean to fully appreciate it. When it's running right, the rear-mounted Peugeot-Renault-Volvo 2.8-liter V6 engine drives this heavy machine with a surprisingly crisp acceleration. [...] Because of the upward swing of the doors, settling into the seat of a Delorean and sliding back out of it can be more easily accomplished than with other low-slung sport models. [...] The result is a cockpit that is surprisingly roomy and comfortable compared to other two-seaters.
