βFirst few times it will feel a bit weird, as you have to find the way to hold the brush and how much to press. I would recommend light strokes, not pressing too hard and going from feet to arms. Always keep the movement in the direction of the heart. When you finish brushing you will feel warm, you will literally feel circulation of blood through the body and I personally really love the feeling. Showering after feels amazing, a lot better than regular showers.β
βI did have one miss fortune when doing dry brushing. I had a small pimple on my legs that I didnβt notice and I did my dry brushing over it without realising. I feel like I kind of irritated that blemish by dry brushing, because it swells up the next day and I had a red, really painful area where that blemish was and it lasted really long till it went away.β
βIβm always looking for new ways to spice up my self-care routine. I love having a nighttime routine to rely on to relax me after long and busy college days. I picked up a dry brush in the beauty aisle of a local North Carolina grocery store and tried the practice out. So farβ¦ I really like dry brushing. I have been doing it before my showers, pretty much daily, for 3 mins or so. It is an easy and quick way to care for your own body. It hurts a little at first, but adjusting the level of pressure used can make the experience less uncomfortable.β
