Omakase puts your meal entirely in the chef's hands, creating a personalized tasting journey through seasonal ingredients and expert technique. In Japan, this often means sitting at the sushi counter watching a master chef prepare each piece fresh. The experience is intimate, educational, and showcases the pinnacle of Japanese culinary artistry.

โWe ordered the omakase (roughly translates to โI trust youโ from Japanese), which essentially gives the chef the freedom to serve us whatever he sees fit. We were served tuna, yellowtail, octopus, squid, and abalone โ to name a few. This was without a doubt the best sushi I have had in my entire life. The courses flowed together in perfect harmony and I loved anticipation/excitement in between every dish. The service was hospitable and polished but not overly formal.โ
โWe struggled to find this gem. Google Maps directed us in the right direction however finding the signage for the restaurant was very difficult. It was located in this tiny alleyway, in this private building. We only noticed the entrance when we saw the name of the restaurant on the doorbell. After buzzing the door, we were invited in and took the elevator upstairs where we were seated with only one other Japanese couple. It was a very private dinner with just us 4, the wait staff and the chef.โ
