β€œWe were flying from a small local airport and were coming together in the "private lounge", which was just a normal room, no different from the normal airport with the exception that we got free soft drinks, tea and coffee and a cold sandwich and when the last person had arrived we got to walk over to the little white Bombardier jet standing next to all the commercial planes. However, when inside, I would describe the plane as small and very basic. Just a very small cabin where the tallest people couldn't stand up straight with on each side of the plane a single row of black leather seats. I guess they were relatively big compared to current day economy class seats, but not the first class experience I was expecting. Also, because the plane was smaller, you felt a lot more turbulence. I have never before been nauseous on a plane before. I guess the main reason for taking a jet was to save time; There were no direct commercial flights to our destination, so what would have been 2 days of traveling got cut down to 3 hours.”

β€œThe inside of the plane looked a lot like the photos I’d seen of Elvis Presley’s private jet, except a lot less ’70s and a lot more glamorous. There were six white lounge chairs, two grey couches that could fold out to make a bed (more on that later), a tiny kitchenette with a microwave, and a one-person stall with the kind of marble sink, varnished wood paneling, and soft backlighting you find in fancy hotel bathrooms. The chairs were exceptionally comfortable and you could lean the chair back far enough and extend the foot rest so as to be almost totally horizontal. What we didn’t expect, however, was that, with just the press of the button, the chairs could swivel around like bumper cars. Everyone on the plane could not get over this and, like children, we continued to gleefully swivel around throughout the 5-hour flight, to the consternation of our eternally patient flight attendant.”
