โI'm more used to squeezing myself into a tiny coach seat, so this suite felt truly palatial. Oh, and the best part? I had three whole windows to myself for gazing at other aircraft before taking off. [...] All of this was supremely comfortable and allowed me to sleep almost the entire way to San Francisco โ I kept thinking that I wished the flight had been to the East Coast rather than the West, so that I could have a few more hours to sleep and take it all in.โ
โNext up was the caviar course, which was by far the most memorable part of this flight simply due to the fact that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. The flight attendant placed it in front of me and I just kind of stared at the plate, looked up at her and then looked back down to the food โ I clearly hadn't done this before. She came back to check on me a few minutes later and saw that I still hadn't even made an attempt at it โ she just laughed and asked if I needed help... yes, please! She gladly took mercy on my inexperienced self and gave me a lesson on how to set up the caviar to be eaten.โ
โI boarded the Dubai - Munich leg and to my surprise I was the only one in first class. Like the first flight, I was instantly offered some Dom along with coffee to keep me awake until I got to Munich. I had to get the caviar again, I opted for a salad for my main along with Chocolate Cake for dessert. The crew were lovely- asking what my travel plans were and what I planned to do in Munich. [...] Around 20 mins after that conversation, one of the flight attendants came back with a list of around 20 odd places to try from one of the other flight attendants that lived in Munich. Great service! The onboard shower was also a really cool experience and a bit of pinch me moment.โ
