Step out of your comfort zone and hit a bar or club solo with the goal of making genuine connections. Sit at the bar rather than hiding in a corner, ask the bartender for recommendations, and strike up conversations about the music or atmosphere. Many people are more approachable than you think, especially fellow solo adventurers.
