People who tried this
βI had a page for a few years. Some unknown person set it up, presumably because they wanted to complete a citation on a much larger page that quoted from my graduate research. I was a little bit flattered, but mostly forgot about it until I checked back years later. It was filled out wore with some frankly eerie details about my biography. All stuff that could be found with Google, but still odd to see it all in one place compiled by strangers. Then a few years later the page just disappeared. I'll guess it's because I ultimately wasn't notable enough, which is perfectly fine by me.β
βIt was created by a friend of mine. He created it without my knowledge, and told me after the fact. So he happens to be interested in comics. And thatβs the reason my Wikipedia page spends so much time on a comic book that I was involved in 15 years ago. That early version of the entry is the one I tried to fix, and you helped me, thanks again for that. It got better as a result. But over time it was out of date, and just a weird entry. So later, randomly, a reader of mine turned out to be someone who knows someone who edited Wikipedia pages for a living [...] And he did. And that was, if not great, at least an improvement. But no one has really updated that page in any substantial way since. Iβm embarrassed about all that. But I mean β I know this page is the first thing a lot of people see, and I would love it to be accurate and current.β
