βToday, I got my business cards printed β my first real business expense. It felt like this is no longer just another idea, but something Iβm actually going to execute in the next month. At the same time, I felt nervous and a bit restless. Subconsciously, I kept asking myself if Iβm making the right decision by going ahead with this startup. Iβm still a student, and Iβve always had business ideas running in my head. But this is the first time Iβve decided to seriously work on one solid idea. I spoke to different stakeholders, got it validated, and realized that the problem is real. Now, itβs on me to take it forward and execute it well. Iβm confident I can do it, but I also know I have a lot to learn.β
βWell, now I have them, double-sided cards, as depicted above, though the colors are a bit darker and the text a bit harder to read here than they are when printed. [...] I was ordering 500 cards for $25, but that rush delivery would have been $30 more (!) making the total $55 β 11 cents a card. I called a local Kinkos and a North Philadelphia printer someone recommended, but their prices were still triple and more than double, even with the rush delivery. [...] 1,000 cards may be more than I need, particularly for a first run, but I wanted to make up for my other mistakes in terms of cost (like ordering late) and am happy to have the motivation to pass them out.β
