โI slept until about 7, waking slowly and making my first coffee and oatmeal of many to come in the next month. The first day was mostly cruisey through the mud, forest floors, and rocky avenues of the LT. I met the local trail steward, a quiet man named Hunter, and we ended up chatting while I ate lunch. I got turned around at an intersection and went almost a half mile out of the way before realizing I hadnโt seen a blaze in a while and the trail was definitely NOT supposed to become an actual stream.โ
