creativecrafts
Transform loose wool into adorable sculptures using just barbed needles and a stabbing motion. Start with simple shapes like animals or flowers - the repetitive stabbing is surprisingly therapeutic and meditative. You can create everything from miniature pets to decorative ornaments, and mistakes are easily fixed by adding more wool.

People who tried this
โThe instant my first felting needle poked into the wool I felt a burning desire to conquer this craft and share it with the world. [...] After learning the hard way, it turns out the cushion was too soft to use as a work pad, making my projects bounce around. I kept stabbing my fingers and struggled to focus on the bouncing object. Plus, my projects were taking too long to complete. But still, I couldnโt give up. Watching the wool take shape from fluff to form was really something magical so I kept poking.โ
โWent to a short class yesterday and tried needle felting for the first time! We didn't have enough time to get rid of all the "fuzziness" but I am still happy with how it turned out. I'll definitely try needle felting again sometime! It was easier than I expected, but I obviously still have a lot to learn.โ
