βFrom experience I can tell you: getting involved in this is great way to make it fun, if you're into this even a bit. My husband bought old Volvo about ten years ago. It's not even all that unique car, just early 80's wagon. Since then, he restored it to pristine condition with his own hands over first two years. At the beginning I found it frustrating as the car, which wasn't even something special, kept him away from me. But once I got involved in it, he taught me why the car is actually kind of unique β and on top of this I understood, why it is so special for my husband. Suddenly I became so excited I couldn't wait for the final result. He drives it to this day and fun for us is in the drives. He takes us to different, sometimes totally random places. [...] Still we also have some dateβkind of drives β at night too. Nothing beats a drive in the middle of the night, through the city full of street lights and almost totally devoid of other cars. It's like a trip to a different dimension, totally surreal! Or going through pitch black road through the forest, away from the city, where only beams of headlights project the world in front of you like it's a travel through space. Or drive in open space through some fields under the full moon. Then he sudenly turns off the headlights for a bit and everything is still visible moonlit. All of it is pure magic. My husband is so genuinely happy while doing this, I get all fuzzy experiencing and being part of it.β
βMy favorite date night was literally on the living room floor, no electronics, no tv, just us sitting on the floor eating food, drinking wine and having stupid, silly conversations about whatever came to mind.β
