โPlanning is like 50% of the fun of actually taking a trip - Being in the location and doing the things is fun too but I like looking through locations, hotels, things to do, if I'm travelling with someone thinking up places we'll both like, stuff like that I'll generally do the flight first about 6 months out, and then the hotels/airbnbs a couple months after that - After that I'll figure out a transit plan (how to get back and forth from the airport/hotels/locations) and then a really rough plan of places I could see in each area, then place them all on a google map so I have a good idea of where they are and how long they take to get to Food is almost always on the fly, it's way more fun that way to not plan out food and leave it up to wherever you want to go that day and what you're feeling - Same with events, make a big pool of things that might be cool to do and then go with what you're feeling on any given dayโ
