Rewatch old home movies

“My wife's dad was this dad. He passed about 7 years ago, but we had all the VHS videos converted to digital. I have a Plex server so they're all in the Home Movies section for us and we break them out a lot of evenings when we're feeling nostalgic. it's too funny seeing my wife as a 14 yr old ha. It was hard at first after he passed, just his voice would make my wife's eyes tear up but eventually it was joyful to hear him (he usually was operating the camera) and see him when someone else had the camera.”

“My dad had a camcorder going through a lot of my childhood. Whenever he'd be recording he would always be silly and ask me and my brother how old we were, what grade are you in, and other stuff like that. At the time we always just clowned on him for it, but now when I watch those I love it. He was always just filming everyday things that seemed boring at the time, but he had the foresight to know it would be interesting years later.”
