Ride a camel in the desert

“Camels are massive animals and it took some getting used to their swaying movements. I decided to try my luck and pull out my DSLR camera and one handily take photos. It was difficult to death-grip on with one hand, and get any shots that were well composed or not blurry, but totally worth it as I got a few phenomenal photos. As the sun began to descend, the sprawling sand and smoothly sculpted dunes changed color. From yellow to burnt orange, and even a moment of brilliant pink.”

“I’m sitting second in line in a row of camels, singing Bob Marley’s “Buffalo Soldier” at the top of my lungs with women from China and the US, who live in London, Germany and Madrid, and two Moroccan guides. It’s not exactly what I had in mind when I first pictured my grand Saharan adventure in Morocco -- it’s even better.”

“My fears completely vanished after I was on the camel and started the ride. The experience was thrilling, even though we moved slowly across the desert sand. We rode in a tiny circle, but the views of the desert were incredible. By the time I got adjusted to the movement of the camel walking, it was time to get off. Luckily, the tour experience allowed for unlimited camel rides. Later in the evening, I returned to ride the camel with zero fears.”
