Push yourself off the swing at the peak of your arc and see how high you can launch. Start with lower swings and work your way up - the key is timing your release when the swing reaches maximum height. Always land on soft surfaces like grass or sand for safety.

βJumping off a swing at itβs highest used to be a great time. I briefly forgot about this. Our school had to actively ban it because everyone would do it. We had a probably 10 or 12β high swing set. In 4th grade I remember one time I jumped when I was shoulders above the top bar on the other side. Falling felt like a long time.β
βha I loved doing that as a kid, my basement stairs were perfect for it. Also jumping out of a swing when it was at it's highest. I remember one time doing that at school on their swingset and really catching some air. I remember this one in particular cause the yard was below road level by a decent amount and I got high enough to where I could see cars. I'm surprised I didn't break anything on that landing.β
βonce when i was 7 i slipped off a swing backwards, rolling in the sand onto the sidewalk bruised in an attempt to jump off, but to this day 13 years later whenever i have the oppurtunity i still swing up high and soar off of the swing to show some random kids how it's done.β
