A fine cigar is about savoring craftsmanship, tradition, and the moment - not inhaling but appreciating complex flavors that develop throughout the smoke. Visit a proper tobacco shop for guidance on mild options like Connecticut wrappers, pair with whiskey or coffee, and budget 45-90 minutes for the full experience. It's a meditation that demands your complete presence.

β€œI had quit smoking cigarettes 6ish years prior and this would be the first time smoking anything since then. Sipping fine rums, scotch or bourbons and discovering the notes and flavors was already a pastime I enjoyed. I had just never considered cigar smoking as something to add to that already established hobby. The more I puffed on that first cigar, the more I opened up to the realization that cigarettes never did this for me. I never really realized tobacco could be so nuanced or complex.”

β€œI’ve smoked Cigars twice in my life but never properly, this is my first time ever Cigar and I went for the Quai d’Orsay No. 50, whereas my friend who smokes once or twice a week went for the Romeo y Julieta. Firing it up was alright, didn’t give me much trouble, the draw was good once I got it going, however, if I left it for just a bit too long, a minute or two, I had to fire it up again, maybe it’s the rookie in me hahaha, any feedback is much appreciated. Paired it with some white wine and cold water, it was great! Cigar was pretty smooth, got the ash to hold halfway through and unfortunately, I cannot tell the notes in terms of taste, the rookie in me cannot tell that, yet Overall, a great experience, a great time with my best friend and a Tuesday night well spent!”

β€œI smoked probably only 1/3 of this one before deciding I wanted to call it quits. My first time I enjoyed the taste and smell, but today my body was reacting quite negatively to it from the get go. I am guessing it’s memory recall and connecting my recent previous experience which ended in nausea and vomiting, so my body yelled at me to quit. From a newbie, here is where I am now in regards to myself and smoking cigars. After these experiences, I am open to smoking one in social situations with others who are in the future on special occasions, but I don’t see myself going out of my way to. [...] I know I am taking one thing away from this experience though - everyone was right, bourbon and a cigar is a damn good pairing.”
