Sleep above tropical lagoons where you can watch colorful fish swim beneath your bedroom floor and step directly from bed into warm, turquoise water. The Maldives and Bora Bora are famous for these, but newer destinations like the Philippines offer similar experiences at lower costs. Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and enjoy breakfast delivered by kayak.

β€œThe bungalow itself is crazy. Glass floor, direct ladder into the water, outdoor shower, private deck with a pool. It feels more like a private villa than a hotel room. You spend most of your time there without even realizing it. We planned to go out more around the resort, but ended up just staying in the room most of the day. It’s not about activities or entertainment here, it’s literally about the experience of being in that room.”

β€œWaking up every morning literally on top of the ocean, having breakfast on the deck and jumping straight into the water from your room is something we haven’t experienced anywhere else. Only seen that kind of thing in Maldives reels before”

β€œPlenty of privacy in the Maldives one. Yes if you swim far enough out you can see the decks, but you don’t usually - I just like swimming, and there’s lots of privacy. We had a private pool, overwater villa, and so apart from dinners, and breakfast, we barely saw other people. We had a butler and our own buggy, so he took us everywhere on the property.”
