People who tried this
โI tried a cold shower for the first time today I pumped myself up and put the water in my shower to the max and hopped in (I was screaming internally) and after 10 seconds I found it hard to breathe but kept going and after 2 minutes I felt light headed and I couldnโt breath so I took a seat on my toilet thinking of excuses but decided to hop back in and did an extra 7 minutes I felt great after Iโll definitely do it againโ
โThe first time, I did notice a slightly increased heart rate reminiscent of anxiety, which got me a little worried. I had promised myself that if these showers increased my anxiety, I would stop. Since then, Iโve put extra focus on my breathing. The cold water has me gasping for air every time, and especially the first time I was almost hyperventilating. Now, I do slow, deep belly breaths before, during and after the shower, trying to always breathe out longer than I breathe in.โ
