Witness the world's largest salt flat transform into a perfect mirror during sunrise, creating an otherworldly landscape where the sky and earth merge in an infinite reflection. The 4,000-square-mile expanse of crystallized salt creates unique photographic opportunities with perspective tricks and stunning reflections during the wet season, while the dry season reveals geometric salt patterns and pink flamingo colonies. Stay overnight in a salt hotel for the full experience.

βWe started our day heading west in the pitch black of the early morning towards the Uyuni Salt Flats. I literally couldnβt tell where we had ended up until the sun slowly set itself on the vast salty Salar and I realized, unmistakably, that we had arrived at the worldβs largest salt flats. There was salt as far as the eye could see! We got about 30 minutes of low light with no shadows just as the sun began to rise and took advantage of the photo opportunity. Breakfast of cake and coffee was then served and I was most appreciative. Things just donβt work right for me before 6 am.β
