Stand before 8,000 individually crafted clay warriors, each with unique facial features, guarding China's first emperor for over 2,000 years. The sheer scale is overwhelming - three massive pits house this underground army discovered by farmers in 1974. Don't miss the Bronze Chariot exhibition showcasing the incredible artistry of ancient Chinese metalworking.

βAs tempted as I was by using a tour, I literally just went myself. Jumped into a Didi (staying by Dachaishi metro) and took me right up to the entrance. Booked a ticket on Trip as I arrived to skip queueing for tickets and walked straight in, only showing my passport. I had a few guides offering themselves and they were kind enough but I politely declined and walked on ("Boo yong luh shyeh shyeh") Had a bit of wander and explored all 3 pits. Stunning architecture and amazing to see. Prob spend just under 3 hrs there. Crowds were crazy as I went during Chinese New Year so highly highly recommend coming first thing when they open!β
βHonestly, I wasnβt sure what to expect, but seeing the Terracotta Warriors in person was something else. Pictures donβt capture the scale. Standing there looking at thousands of life-size soldiers, each with a different face, itβs hard to wrap your head around it being over 2,000 years old.β
