โKayaking on the Kailua-Kona side south, we found a little cove with a pumice gravel beach. No name on any map, nor trails in or out (at least not as a result of our searches). Every step, you sink in past your ankles. The grape sized pebbles are smooth, don't scrape, and handfuls thrown in the surf just wash back ashore. But a half hour walking around there, and you discover they've cumulatively bruised your lower legs. There are a few 'island' boulders interspersed here & there where you can just hang out.โ
