Bake a cake completely from scratch and transform it into edible art with buttercream flowers, fondant decorations, or intricate piping designs. Start with a simple vanilla or chocolate base, then let your creativity run wild with colors, themes, and decorative techniques. Even if it's not Instagram-perfect, homemade cakes taste infinitely better than store-bought and the process is surprisingly therapeutic.

โI decided to bake a Sponge Cake not because I was bored instead because I wanted to. I took my recipe book in which dad had noted down the recipe. I was too confident and insisted on doing everything by myself. In fact nobody was allowed to enter the kitchen until I finished baking. Everything went well and cool, breaking the eggs were not my favourite part as I would always make it messy and I had to wash my hands after that. [...] I couldnโt resist, I knew it would take 30 minutes to bake but I had to inspect the cake after each 5 minutes. Each time when I saw the cake inside I was feeling proud. The tempting aroma was all over the house. [...] I had to wait impatiently for the cake to cool down before I took the first bite. The cake looked beautiful with the slightly brownish corners and golden surface. And then finally it was time for my first bite, I took a big bite and within a fraction of seconds spat it out. We realised that I had forgot to add sugar while making the cake mix.โ
