βHereβs the thing about pies β they are all about chemistry. The ingredients need to be a certain temperature, otherwise they wonβt mix and the whole pie turns into a giant mush pile. Well, I didnβt know this. As I started to mix the dry ingredients, I went ahead and added the hot melted butter. That was a mistake. The whole pie filling became a greasy mess and I could feel my frustration rising.β
βI followed this recipe exactly with the exception of the baking powder. Um, did you guys know that a lot of recipes call for both baking soda AND baking powder? Well props to you, I was unaware of that but now I know to always keep both on hand. [...] These bad boys are big and fluffy so donβt be worried youβre making them too big. I thought there was no way these were going to cook thoroughly but I promise they do! [...] My oven took 20 minutes until the cookies were golden brown. I wasnβt sure if they were baked all the way through but trusted in the recipe!β
