People who tried this
βWe pretty much never use the elevators, and have been on team no elevator since 2022. It started during the restart of cruises because we didnβt feel like being in a small space with random people, and then it was like hey we donβt have to wait for elevators and we donβt have to deal with peoples inconsiderate behavior in the elevators. And now weβve added the βwe can feel better about eating moreβ on a cruise with not taking the elevator. Our last cruise on Quantum we were averaging 40-50 flights climbed as recorded on my Apple Watch each day.β
βDid a 7-day where I only used elevators with luggage once. I was on a higher deck and the biggest challenge was always after dinner in the MDR (or the late show if we went there after dinner instead). But the elevators were crowded enough that I could rationalize not piling in with all those people.β
