โ€œIt actually wasnโ€™t as easy as I thought it would be. I definitely felt a little challenged because most of my strength comes from my lower body, and some of the poses in this class required pulling myself up in the air. I had to learn how to trust myself in order to let go and get myself off the ground. [...] I sometimes get motion sickness but I was eager to try out this class so when I started feeling dizzy or nauseous the instructor just mentioned to take a break and come back to it when I was ready. She was very patient with me. I was definitely sore the next day and my stomach felt harder AND that was only from the FIRST class.โ€

โ€œThe inversions part of the class was actually really fun. It really taught me a lot about what my body is capable of doing, not to mention it can definitely work your core getting in and out of the poses at times. Though the inversions part was cut short for me when I started to feel nauseous from being upside down for too long. I came out of the pose I was currently in and sat out (in my silk hammock) for the next one. The instructor even offered to put some peppermint oil on my neck if I needed it.โ€

โ€œThe hardest, but most important, part of my first class was learning to trust the silks and my body. At first, being up in the air feels unnatural especially when you begin doing different poses and movements. I knew the silks were secure and strong enough to hold me, I just had to listen to my body to guide me through the movements. It took some time to get used to the feeling of being in the silks but once I felt safe, I found myself more comfortable with trying new poses.โ€
