Savor Italy's beloved lemon liqueur traditionally served ice-cold as a digestif after dinner, particularly along the Amalfi Coast where the best versions are made from local Sorrento lemons. The sweet, intensely citrusy drink captures the essence of Italian summer in every sip.

โ€œMy favorite part of the trail though was when we came to a house with a little dog napping next to a crate of lemons. He woke up when we approached and I got to pet him and play with him a little. A group of girls walked up a couple minutes unto giving my new friend lots of ear scratches and they banged on the door until an elderly gentleman opened it; they asked for limoncello and one of the girls told us that he had the best along the whole path. We were sold and instantly asked for one for ourselves. He gave us the limoncello along with some lemon slices, and then threw in a whole lemon from the crate. The lemon tasted like candy and the limoncello tasted like sunshine.โ€

โ€œMy boyfriend and I were on a 10 day trip in Italy last month and we stopped into this store called Limon'e in Rome near the Piazza Navona. Not only did we find probably the best gelato we had during our trip (lemon cheesecake) but all of the limoncello's we tasted were amazing. I regret not buying a bottle :(โ€
