I didn’t start until high school and was rather skinny and tall. I figured I’d get snapped in half. For the most part it wasn’t bad while playing defense. I wasn’t physical either so I wasn’t a fan of running plays at free safety. I played split and flanker on offense which wasn’t bad. You’d get tagged every once in a while but I wasn’t too worried like a slot or tight end getting a hospital pass over the middle.

I wasn’t aggressive enough as I should’ve been. You gotta be willing to hit on any play in any position pretty much. Also, it’s a lot harder to catch the ball then you’d thing. Plus running and catching with a helmet and pads takes a lot of getting used to.
