โ€œYes, I cleaned out my two closets about a month ago. One closet was strictly for clothes and the other was for shoes and accessories. I pulled every single item out and considered how long it had been since I last wore it, and started building a very substantial donation pile. Without exaggeration, I must have donated 30 pair of pants/leggings/jeans, 50 shirts/sweaters/cardigans, 15 dresses, 10 pair of PJ's, 25 pair of shoes, 6 handbags and quite a lot of costume jewelry. After that purge, I moved everything remaining into a single closet and separated things into "daily wear" or "If I leave the house wear". Because I WFH, my daily wear is always the same - lounge pants, a white tank, and a cardigan (I'm always cold). If I go anywhere, I'll pull from the "leave the house" section. Even after that massive purge, I still have more than I need and actually use. But I do feel so much less "mental clutter" with all that extra stuff gone.โ€

โ€œA few weeks ago I went through my closet and realized it was overflowing with stuff I never touched. Shirts I bought on sale but never wore, pants that didnโ€™t really fit, and random things I kept just in case. It honestly stressed me out just looking at it. So I decided to be ruthless and donated about half of it. The funny part is, after doing that, I realized I was still only rotating between the same 5 outfits I always wore the comfortable jeans, a couple of favorite t-shirts, and one jacket I love.โ€
