People who tried this

โ€œBeen doing yoga daily for about three months and although there are a lot of poses I can't do, I tend to try them whenever they come up in practice anyway, as a cognitive exercise if nothing else. Crow has been such a struggle this whole time. I felt like it was always turning more into a headstand or that my elbows could never get below my knees properly. Just nothing resembling crow, ever. Then, like 20 minutes ago during my morning practice today, it came up and I tried it, and it just happened ... like perfectly. I was strong and intentional in the shape and I held it for a while! My heart started racing as I went back to the YouTube lesson I was following, but for the rest of the practice I was just thinking about "how the heck did that happen?" How could a pose I seemed a lifetime away from a week ago now fall into place like I've been doing it for years?โ€

โ€œThis was my third time trying crow pose as I tend to stay away from the super-advanced poses because it's not my goal to learn those just yet and all the times I've done crow pose was because it was included in one of Adriene's videos. The first time, I couldn't get my toes off the ground for more than a split second so I didn't and just held my balance with toes on the ground, the second time I got to keep them off for maybe 5 seconds and I was absolutely ecstatic. Today, I got to balance in the pose for maybe a bit more than 30 seconds!!! It's not much at all but I'm so proud of this little progress and seeing that my body is getting stronger even though that's not the main reason why I practice yoga. I'm also sure my form was all off and far from perfect but I have the rest of my life to continue to improve on that and maybe get to master this pose and I'm so so excited for the journey ahead!โ€
