βWent to my first yoga class today! I did a gentle yoga class at a local studio and it was amazing. Everything aches after (in a good way) and I was shaking the entire time, and I have never sweat so much in my life. But the instructor was great and the old ladies that were there were doing it perfect, so that gives me hope that I'll eventually be able to be as good as them :)β
βThe class was really basic, which was fine with me. We went over Sun Salutations A and B and then did a few other poses from the Primary Series. As things started to heat up I thought to myself, maybe I donβt go to yoga class because Iβm embarrassed by how much I sweat. I think I need to take a towel next time so I donβt slip so much. Hopefully I didnβt get any on anyone else.β
βAlthough I am thoroughly convinced that it would take several week's worth of classes to get the full benefit of yoga, both physically and spiritually, I can say that without a doubt I felt a change in my body after just 2-3 lessons. [...] After taking a few yoga sessions, I found myself standing taller with better posture in my back as the days after the retreat went on. [...] I can easily say that I noticed myself becoming less stressed out about pending deadlines, speaking engagements, and product launches I am working on. The simple act of sitting still and letting the mind go did help me achieve a bit of clarity in what I needed to do with my work, and helped reduce the stress that was associated.β
