โ€œSo, I am a mom who had really not been around guns growing up and even after I married my husband did not have his guns around. [...] I was taught about sight picture, grip, trigger discipline, and how to squeeze the trigger and all the firearm safety rules. I shot 5 rounds to start then asked to shoot 5 more, and 5 more...for about 15 minutes. It was fun! One of the volunteer range safety officers came over to say hello to my husband (also a VRSO) and looked at my target. He then asked me how long I had been shooting...I told him 15 minutes. He shook his head and walked away. My grouping was the size of the lid of a can of beans. I am better now.โ€

โ€œMy own personal experience was that I just didn't get that from a .22 I could stick each shot down the same hole all day long. When I first started shooting larger caliber pistols (9mm and then 10mm) I was all over the place. I needed the sound and recoil in order to train myself not to flinch.โ€
