Create stunning artwork by arranging small pieces of colored glass, ceramic tiles, or stones into patterns or images on surfaces like tabletops, stepping stones, or wall art. The process requires patience for cutting and placing pieces, but the finished mosaic has incredible depth and catches light beautifully.

People who tried this

β€œA couple of months ago I started my first ever mosaic that I wanted in my shower niche. I didn’t know what I was doing but I grabbed some tile some tile knippers and glue and just went with it. [...] I learned the difference between ceramic and porcelain very quickly as one is super hard to cut. The other thing I learned is that it’s very hard and time consuming to make a mosaic because not only is it cutting and pasting but you have to sand the rough edges and try to figure out like a puzzle how to put it together to make it looks well. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I redid the mosaic how many times I accidentally misplaced a piece or even dropped my work just to start over again.”

β€œTried mosaic for the first time in a curated workshop. This is recycled bathroom glass tile. And the painting is Running Heart by Keith Haring. I enjoyed it so much! You can see at the bottom and right side I started rushing and using larger pieces but I still like the result.”
