βAt $16, this one item would cover our $25 credit. The Kimpton charges a $6 delivery fee, thereβs tax and an automatic 18% gratuity. This brought the total to $26.64 just for a waffle! The waffle was from the hotelβs restaurant, Red Owl and to our surprise, it was really good! [...] While Theo slept and Lucas & I waited for the delivery, Kim went out to get coffee and a drink for Lucas. The waffle was sweet while not being nauseating. It was covered in chocolate syrup and was topped with four lightly torched marshmallows and a really yummy scoop of vanilla bean ice cream in the middle.β
βIβll often order room service on the first night, when Iβve had a long day traveling and want to just get in my comfy clothes and relax in the room. Iβve had bad room service and acceptable room service, but the only room service experience Iβd describe as memorable was a white tablecloth plated breakfast of eggs Benedict, bagels and smoked salmon, fruit and fancy pastries, and a bottle of good champagne, on the balcony of our room in the original historic building at the Hotel del Coronado diring our honeymoon nearly 20 years ago.β
